Carpe Diem Laboratories successfully achieved synthesis of Methyl-per Acetyl-D-Glucuronic Acetate fulfilling client’s requirement.
Applications: Useful in biochemical studies and in the development of potential drugs. It is a phosphatidylinositol (PtdIns) synthesis inhibitor. It inhibits the activation of the PtdIns 3 kinase enzyme by binding to its C2 domain. This inhibitor blocks the synthesis of PtdIns 3,4,5P3 and reduces the activity of protein kinases such as Akt and PKC. It is also used for the synthesis of HMR1098-S-Glucuronide Methyl Ester, a new K-ATP-blocking agent being developed as a drug for prevention of sudden cardiac death.
